Marysville FallsKimberley features a variety of unique attractions to enjoy highlighting the communities natural wonders, history, culture and more.

Marysville Falls

Marysville Falls, located off the main street in Marysville, is over 100 ft high within the beautiful rocky ledges of Mark Creek.

Visiting the Falls is very easy and there is no charge.  Once in Marysville there is the main street bridge over Mark Creek.  On one side is a community park with parking featuring local artisans work, on the other side is the trailhead to walk to the Falls.  It is only a 5 minute walk to the Falls on a maintained path.

Cominco Gardens

Cominco Gardens

Cominco Gardens are located adjacent to the Kimberley Health Care Centre in Kimberley's Townsite area.  Cominco Gardens was originally built to showcase the Elephant Brand Fertilizer which Cominco Mine produced.  The Gardens feature over 45,000 blooms each year and is free to visit.

Also visit Nina & Roland's Hillside Garden View at 440 Spokane Street.   A beautifully orchestrated garden flowing along their quaint home.  They serve fresh home cooked lunches throughout the summer.  Call 427-4681 for more information.

Railway ToursKimberley's Underground Mining Railway


Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Trench in the East Kootenay region of BC is the City of Kimberley: the home of the historic Sullivan Mine and the Underground Mining Railway. The Kimberley underground Mining Railway is owned and operated by the Sullivan Mine and railway Historical Society.  The Kimberley Mining Railway has been in existence, in one form or another, for 25 years and it has developed into a unique tourist attraction for the whole family.

Visit us and ride the rails through the beautiful Mark Creek valley as you listen to the history of Kimberley and the Sullivan Mine.  Experience life as a miner at the underground interpretive centre.  Participate in our Mining Show and be exposed to working mine equipment.  Enjoy spectacular scenery and occasional wildlife as you travel to the Kimberley Alpine Resort.  After a brief stop at the Resort Station you can learn more about Kimberley as you return back to the Downtown Station.

Downtown Platzl

Kimberley's Platzl is the hub of activities and shopping.  It is a fully pedestrian only zone filled with unique shopping, dining and festival experiences.  A great place to lounge with a latte, have a candle light dinner, or pick up that one-of-a-kind gift for someone back home.

Kimberley Resort ChairliftThe Kimberley Alpine Resort also offers a variety of recreational activities during the summers months.  Ride their high speed quad from the resort village base to the top to enjoy the vast view of the Rocky Mountains.  Take your mountain bike or hiking shoes and enjoy the trails.
