Kimberley Business Excellence Award Results

The Kimberley and District Chamber of Commerce held Kimberley’s annual Business Excellence Awards on October 19th, 2018 at the Kimberley Conference & Athlete Training Centre.  The event included a presentation on Disruptive Technology and its impacts on communities by Jim Harris.  Mr. Harris is a recognized authority on changes in business and changes expected to communities in the new era of shared economies within industries. 


Congratulations to the nominees for demonstrating their impact to our community through business growth, employing residents of Kimberley and Cranbrook, and driving the economy of our City!

    The Kimberley & District Chamber elected Board of Directors at the AGM on June 28th, 2018. Joining the board include Ella Harris (Crème Cheese Shop), Jason Toner (Big Magic Designs), Brandi O'Neill (Paper & Cup), Jeremy Sroka (95eh), and Brian Sondergaard (Kimberley Kritters). Returning to the board for another 2-year term are: Brian Conn (Kootenay Shade Works), Thomas Datt (Enchanted Forest B&B), and Karen Rempel (Rocky Mountain Events).
    Board members with one year remaining on their terms are: Rachelle Langlois (Sun Life Financial), Kenton Lane (Hyrciuk Gallinger & Co), Sabrina Park (Creekside Physiotherapy), Chantel Delaney (Sprout Health Market), Allissa Keane (Fruition Wellness), and Jill Bentley-Lobban (Kimberley Centex Market).

    Export Navigator Pilot Program Extended

    Export Navigator Pilot Program Extended

    The Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce has advocated for the extension of Export Navigator.  We met with Minister Chow in December 2017 about this type of programming to assist rural businesses.  Contact the Chamber to learn more about rural business support.
