The Kimberley Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors who set the high level strategic plan for the Chamber staff to execute. The Board is made up of individuals from the Kimberley Business Community, as well as public representation who each bring their experience and skills to the table.

GENERAL MANAGER

Katherine Petersen

After an almost 20 year career as a licensed insolvency trustee and certified fraud examiner, Katherine and her husband Cory, a social worker, moved to Kimberley in 2016.  After several years of providing bookkeeping services to Kimberley Golf Club and Kimberley Alpine Resort she took on a financial management position at Community Connections Society in Cranbrook.  Since April 2022, she is thrilled to be back working in Kimberley as General Manager of the Kimberley and District Chamber of Commerce.  

 

Katherine enjoys working with the variety of businesses in Kimberley and providing resources and supports to help businesses thrive.

 

Katherine can often be found walking, biking or cross country skiing the trails, taking care of the yard and garden, or spending time with her hubby and their cat, Cheesecake. She is an avid reader and enjoys low-budget, sci-fi movies.

Janet Farquhar

Janet Farquhar joined the Chamber in September 2023 to provide part time administrative and office support.  A bio and photo will be coming soon!
