Welcome to the Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce

 

The Kimberley and District Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1923 with the goal of furthering the interests of local businesses. Our mission is to serve as leaders in the promotion, development, growth and prosperity of business in our community.

Our goals include the delivery of Best Practices in governance, communication, community partnerships and member value.

The Chamber is incorporated under the Board of Trade Act and is composed of a volunteer board of directors, the Chamber General Manager, regional business members and community partners.

    Over the next few months, the City of Kimberley will be updating its Official Community Plan (OCP) to align with the Imagine Kimberley Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) and some of the City’s other strategic documents. It is important for the City to align all of its policy documents to ensure a clear and unified understanding of the City’s vision and objectives for growth.

    As the sole issuer of genuine currency in Canada, the Bank of Canada is responsible for issuing quality bank notes that are readily accepted and secure against counterfeiting.

    Sabrina will inform small business owners on bank note security features and teach bank note verification at point of sale.

    Note checking is a quick and responsible practice.

Job Grant (CJG) is opening to BC Jobs Plan priority sectors, with targeted funding of up to $3 million, for eligible employers and organizations in these sectors to train new and current employees for available jobs.  THE CJG WILL OPEN TO APPLICATIONS FOR BC JOBS PLAN PRIORITY SECTOR TRAINING ON JANUARY 4TH, 2016.
