The BC Government announced that BC Family Day will be moved to the 3rd weekend in February starting in 2019.  Our Chamber has advocated for its continued schedule of staying on the 2nd weekend for the past 4 years.  This announcement was not surprising as the Premier has hinted about this change.  Having a separate Family Days has allowed resort communities like Kimberley to enjoy having a weekend for British Columbians, then showcasing our amenities to visitors from other Provinces.

Diversifying revenue sources and sales channels is a must for Kootenay enterprises to improve chances for long lasting business success. No matter your experience with exporting or type of product, this interactive workshop will prove invaluable to those seriously looking to strengthen or grow their business by pursuing markets beyond BC’s borders.

Look forward to learning how to:

+ skillfully use export terminology to your advantage in sales discussions and negotiations,

+ successfully identify and assess new target markets,

+ tap into numerous provincial and federal support services,

+ write a brief and concise export plan to add to an existing business plan or use with lenders,

+ network with and learn from fellow participants, and

+ receive continued, free support from the Boundary – Kootenay Export Advisor.

    Ideally suited for:

+ Existing business ideally with 1+ year in operation
