Tourism Kimberley to Close Visitor Information Services at Visitor Centre Effective April 1

Kimberley, BC — Tourism Kimberley has announced that it will be closing its Visitor Information services at the Kimberley Visitor Centre effective April 1, 2026. The organization will spend the month of April moving out of the facility.

The Visitor Centre building is owned by the Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce, which is currently reviewing options for the future operation of the Visitor Centre and the services provided there.

The Public washrooms will remain open.

As part of its decision-making process, the Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce has distributed a survey to our Chamber Members to gather input on potential directions for the Visitor Centre and how it may continue to serve both residents and visitors moving forward.

“The Visitor Centre has long played an important role in welcoming visitors to Kimberley and providing information about our community,” said Jocelyn Treleaven/Acting General Manager. “We want to ensure that any next steps reflect the needs of our members, local businesses, and the broader community.”

Further updates will be provided as plans develop.
